Harvest Lunch 2025
2025 Harvest Lunch
Thank you very much to everyone who joined us for lunch to celebrate the end of harvest 2025. The weather was beautiful and the food (and the wine) was spectacular. One of the outstanding wines served at lunch was the 2017 Peter’s Block Pinot Noir, drinking sensationally with eight year of bottle age. A delicate, ethereal, aged wine that matched exquisitely with chicken ballotine, filled with goats curd, leek and spinach.
The other wine that stood out was the 2015 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon which was matched with a slow cooked shoulder of lamb. This still looks remarkably youthful, even at ten years of age with touches of black currants and spice and complex, developed characters on the palate.
Also thank you to Ryan from Frosty’s Food Truck for the marvellous food, and for those interested, Ryan will be back next year to produce another fabulous meal for us.
